Who We Are
I will be the first to tell you I am not a chef! I just thoroughly enjoy being in the kitchen, it is my zen. My menu is created by choosing dishes that I am comfortable cooking, and what to give my family. I started with the paleo diet to find out what food aversions I had. Over time, I have been able to incorporate more non-paleo food items back into my diet as I have needed them to increase performance and give a little extra variety.
Why Eat Paleo
The Paleo diet is the healthiest way you can eat because it is the only nutritional approach that works to help you get lean, strong and energetic. It removes refined foods, trans fats and sugar that have been shown to be at the root of obesity, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, depression and infertility.
Why choose a meal plan
Our meal plan elaborate on the paleo menu but introducing some healthy, non-paleo food items, like whole grains, into your meals. Meal plans are specific to each customer, whether you have your own plan, or need us to create one for you. This helps us pinpoint where your macros need adjusting if needed.
The appropriate seasoning can make a dish fabulous. I use a variety of seasonings to make a completely satisfying and delicious dinner with simple ingredients. We use very limited salt in both our paleo items and our meal plans, no-salt food is available upon request.
The Paleo Diet?
The Paleo diet is based upon the idea of eating the foods our bodies were designed for through thousands of years of evolution. These foods were available to early people through hunting and gathering [meat adn fish, nuts and seeds, fruits and vegetables]. During modern times, advances in technology have made other forms of food available for consumption [grains, dairy, and processed foods], which are not as easy for our bodies to digest. The foods recommended in thePaleo diet generally provide our bodies with more efficient, long-lasting energy that also aid in burning fat.
